The value and meaning of the existence of residential garden was elaborated. After analyzing the condition of residential gardens , residential garden become one of most important factors in citizen’s purchasing commercial house. At the same time, it found that some urgent problems in the community construction. To meet the need of the citizen and improve the environment of city, the paper puts forwards many methods to cope with the problems listed in the paper and meliorate the current condition.

城市是人类文明的产物，是一种人工环境，虽然广义上属于大的自然环境的一部分，但就其作为局部的人工环境而言，毕竟与自然环境有所隔离，人们长期生活于城市中，势必要寻求与大自然直接接触的方式，如旅游、踏青；或者创设一种间接的补偿方式，这就是园林的建置。可以说，园林是为了补偿人们与大自然环境相对隔离而人为创设的“第二自然”。绿化是城市园林的重要组成部分，它对提高居民生活环境质量，增进居民的身心健康至关重要。居住小区的绿化水平，是体现城市现代化的一个重要标志
