摘要:土人景观的都江堰广场设计,运用当地深厚的创作素材,以水和乡土景观作为设计语言,讲述了一段古老的历史。Mary Padua 教授对这个以2000多年灌溉历史为背景而设计的水文化广场进行了较为全面的评介,尤其回顾和分析了该项目对当代景观设计学中水元素的运用,以及它在场所营造和城市再生方面的意义。认为该广场创作出了一个用当代景观语言讲述都江古堰、地域历史、当地百姓和民间传说的现代人文景观。

Abstract:Dujiangyan Square which was designed by Turenscape tells an ancient story by creating a narrative landscape and water element, inspired by the vernacular landscape. Prof. Mary Padua evaluated thoroughly the design of the square with a background of 2000 years history, especially reviewed and analyzed the use of water as a design element in contemporary landscape architecture, and a discussion of the project within the framework of place-making and urban regeneration. This square is the place to tell a story—create a contemporary narrative landscape that portrays the history of the nearby Dujiangyan Irrigation Works, the region, its people, and folklore.

1 文化/历史背景
都江堰,位于四川省会成都西北60km处,在古代中国意为“首府河大坝”,它是公元前3世纪中叶(战国初期),在欧亚大陆东半部建造的一个巨大的、经过仔细规划的公共工程①。
2000多年来,都江堰仍在发挥着重要的作用。这个巨大的基础设施建设对世界文明的贡献已被公认,并于2000年被联合国教科文组织列入世界文化遗产名录。这一成就已经成为了当地人民每年值得庆祝的节日性事件
